Just opened is the Penobscot Narrows Bridge, the most unique bridge on this Continent, it is a cradle stayed bridge crossing the Penobscot River at Fort Knox.By May 2007, the 420' Observatory Tower located at the bridge will open.The only other observatory similar to this  is in Thailand. On aclear day - you'll be able to see from Mt. Katahdin to Stonington to Mt. Desert Island - to the Camden Hills and possibly the Presidential Mountains.
